Hello and welcome to Living Well Health Coach. I’ve created this website to give you the information and resources you need to make healthy diet and lifestyle decisions.
I don’t believe in fad diets or calorie counting. What I do promote is a natural, whole foods diet that consists primarily of plant foods. Your diet should give you energy, help you to stay healthy and disease-free, and keep your immune system strong. It should also help you achieve and sustain a healthy weight.
That’s why you’ll find a lot of information on plant-based diets. There are different types, and what may work best for you may not be what works best for someone else.
People are different and their nutrition needs vary as well. Your age, sex, and even your nationality can affect what your body needs. I maintained a strict vegetarian diet for about 20 years. But, as I aged, I needed to eliminate, or drastically reduce, some plant-based proteins and many high carbohydrate foods – commonly used in vegetarian diets.
Simply put, there is not a one-size-fits-all diet, so I encourage you to experiment with the different plant-based diets.

It’s impossible to talk about health and wellness without mentioning the pandemic. It has altered our lives in countless ways, for some much more than others.
For quite some time, most of us were in survival mode (many still are), and our food choices were not the best (to say the least). We gained weight and became lethargic.
When you are ready to make changes, create realistic goals. Be patient and compassionate with yourself. And, give yourself time to rebuild from where you are today, without any self-criticism and impatience.
